Looking for a Civ 2 buddy.

Fridays are great! I am a Pacific time zoner. We can start around 3 your time on Friday. You wanna host or me? Faster connection should host.

I should note that I have an unmodified version of Civ2 MGE.
 
How about 4, since it takes an hour to eat breakfast and get ready for the day. (I'm not disabled, I'm just slow).

I like really big maps with lots of landmass separated in small islands. Since we are two humanplayers then I would like 2 computer opponents on Emperor level. If they piss us off too much we could always gang up on them.

First game will be for the space victory. Score doesn't matter.

Sound good?
 
You host first. Settings? Open game (anyone can join). How about 3 cpu's? On my civ2, I changed the rules.txt so that only i can get sdi and only i can get spaceship. (I'm a power-hog)
 
3 cpus is fine

You'll want an original rules.txt

When I normally play I have all 28 wonders and I am hitting future tech before the other civs even have democracy. It's waaaay different with a human player, because a computed doesn't know what troop amassment means.

Read some of my stuff in the scenario creation, stories and tales, and the 1000 ways you know you've played civ2 too much (i start on page 14 or 15 on that thread) to find out more info on how i've changed my rules.txt.
 
I apologize for not joining your game the other friday, so I must have forgot. But the good news is, I'm out of college for the rest of summer. (I still tend to sleep in until 3)
