Looking for a Star Trek Dominion War Strategy Guide

Figured this would be the best place to check for this. I recently rediscovered Civ2 and figured out how to install a bunch of mods I never got to play during my childhood. One such mod is Kobayahi's Star Trek Dominion War. I'm really enjoying it but also struggling with advancing some of the plot points. (The game keeps hinting I need to find a desert planet but I have no idea where it is.) Is there a walkthrough or strategy guide I can read to help navigate some of these moments? I realize part of the joy is experimentation but this is definitely something where a few hints would be helpful.

I’ve never played the scenario myself but it does come with a rather extensive ReadMe file that outlines many of its features and which I’ve attached here.

Have you had the opportunity to review it?

I've only mucked around for a few turns and not played it seriously. @kobayashi / Patrick created some very nice webpage guides for his Star Trek BAQ and Star Wars Insurrection scenarios however sadly he didn't do one for Dominion War so that readme tootall's posted above is the only good source of info. If all else fails you can try contacting him directly as while he doesn't visit the forums anymore he still runs the Civ2 Scenario League facebook group where I speak to him on occasion.

I actually do remember where the desert planet is - its at the "north side" of the wormhole, in the corner. That's probably a twenty year old memory that popped up a few days after i read the thread.
