looking for advice and explanation

on the considerations of where to build a city
i attached a screenshot of the first turn
as i understood from all the people that gave me advice, i need to pick a priority for each of my cities
as i am now playing with egypt the obvious choice would be to have my capitol a wonder building city

so i looked at the starting location that i got..
the ivory resources give money
i have almost no hills
so is this location better for a money making city?
in which hex would you put it?
is it worth putting it on the hill where my warrior is? (than ill have one less hill)
and generally speaking should i strive to put my capitol on a good or bad hex?

I'm no expert. But I have read that since your city can have like 37 workable tiles, but you are will likely only work about half of them, that placement one hex in any direction is less important. On a large scale moving like 5-10 hexes makes a difference...
Now in your case, you don't have a ton of hills. But also no where in site looks like it will have a ton of hills. Though your NW is unknown, and a lot of that space could end up workable in your capital, so maybe it will have hills. My point is that you would probably have to spend a lot of turns looking around for a better spot, which could put you pretty far behind, and you simply may not find anything.
So really it is a question of if you want to gamble. You can spend turns looking for the better place, or make the best of the one you got. Lumber mills can make production reasonable.

If I were going to move, I would go SW, and get close enough to get the gems, gold, and ivory all in my capital. That's three happiness luxuries in one city... It gets you one extra hill at the cost of all those forests.

If I were going gamble and search for the optimal spot, I would look East N E. Maybe find some more hills in those forests... But then my second city would be in that spot that get's those three luxuries...
