Lost Autosaves

I lost my autosaves folder... is there a way that i can retrieve them again... all that i can see in my saves folder in the single player are my saves and a quick game folder, before i have the autosaves folder... now it is gone but the game still autosaves often

Remake the auto saves folder with the same name, cause IIRC Civ just does things by name.

Have you edited your civilizationIV.ini file to change your save game path?

Or have you changed the target of the save directory as ainwood discusses in this thread?

wheew,,, i finally found the problem... it is a virus which super hides the auto folders... right now im trying to fix it but in vain huhuhu
