Lost Sound

Seems I lost the sound to my Civ3.

Last time i used this laptop was the end of January 2016. I wanted to do some testing of Civ3 on it. When i started my Civ3 game there was no sound. No sound on any version of Civ3, conquests, PTW or Vanilla.

Movies I play have sound and Civ4 has sound.

This is probably another simple fix staring right at me. I kinda had enough of no game game sounds. ( yes preferences are sent ).

The sound stopped working for me today

the sound during the diplomacy screen doesn't work for me, but the regular music during gameplay/main menu does

it cuts out abruptly whenever i talk to an AI, and especially when the AI is japan it'll make some TV white noise sound briefly
