Lots of protocols

I just heard of a new multiprotocol app...Pexit. It's multiprotocol like Trillian, but it's supposed to let you actually facilitate chat for people on different protocols. That's pretty neat, and would solve a lot of my problems with having users on all these different protocols. Drives me nuts. Has anyone else heard of it?

I wonder why nobody's done this before now, or how the people at AIM, YIM and MS feel about it.

I prefer Jabber clients over Trillian.

Jabber is not a client, it is a protocol that supports interoperability (a bit like Odigo). So you can chat with ICQ/AIM/YIM users with your Jabber account.
