Lurker: Now that is just a comment of ignorance. Have you even watched the Lakers recently? They are tied in first place in the West without their third best player playing. And yes, Kobe is the leader of "team" and is the Laker's best player. Kobe's has been considered the leading MVP candidate for what he is doing this season and the Lakers are considered to have the best chances for winning the championship.

And as for Shaq? Well, he was on the Miami Heat which was and is in last place in the East. Then he got traded to Phoenix, which lead the West for much of the season. Then after he arrived, they sucked, dropping to 6th place in the West.

I think the Lakers made the right move.
