The Persians began Marco's Embassy in 900AD. We still need Magellan. Isaac Science is Gravity, we'll discover in 1-2 turns. Elysium University will be completed in 7 turns. The RC Silk was delivered to Dehli for 246 gold and 246 beakers, hence the imminent discovery of Gravity. We have no followup Foreign Trade Caravan - they were ordered to rehome in RC and sail last turn but are still sitting there.
The beginning of this WLTK Celebration boosted our tax revenue by about 30% and science beakers 2% , net of luxury increase to 30% . That is apples to oranges , you know. Our productivity now at 30% Lux is higher than our productivity was then at 20% . So continuing the celebration seems eminent, clear.
The Celebration at Lux 30% will trigger 15 WLTK Celebrations. That means 15 new serfs on the following turn (sort of, some cities dropped last turn because the Lux was only 20%). Growth will be limited soon by lack of irrigation. Increase Lux% gradually to sustain the Celebrations, until extra food is gone. Then back to 30% Luxuries for a while while we plan and irrigate further.
REGIA CIVITAS is Size 8, and with an Aquaduct would grow beyond. It will grow and waste food in 22 turns, so we have time to diddle. However, it is now earning +12 arrows of Elysium Routes, and a larger RC means $more arrows every turn, and also more bonus gold and beakers from Foreign Deliveries.
Citizens had commented in Turn 940AD that we do not need Marco Polo. I still agree, assuming we are starving for Caravans. And we are, we have no followup to the RC Silk into Dehli. We own 13 Caravans, less 3 committed to Delivery. Please read the next post - a complete Caravan plan, which details how to build BOTH MAGELLAN and ISAAC NEWTON right now.
This poll is open 4 days, thru Wednesday. Please post today, vote Monday so we can move Tues or Wednesday.
