M:C needs all its features documented in the Pedia, especially the ones different from Vanilla. Currently all the vanilla stuff is still there, but this needs to be edited/removed and replaced with M:C stuff. I have added a few things but we need more so if anyone feels like writing up or editing current files please do volunteer. For starters, looking at the Pedia we will need new/edited entries for the below mentioned pedia files. We can mark them out as they are done. Also, the loading Hints can all be redone to reflect M:C features.

The below mainly just need new M:C terms

Buildings->
Improvements->
Leaders->
Missionaries->
Movement->
Production->
Promotions->
Specialists->
Transports->
Units->
Visibility and Exploration->
War->

This list will need more attention and detail to explain new M:C features

Borders-> need to reflect that there is now an Trade Relations and Open Borders agreements. Trade Relations lets only Traders in, Open Borders lets any one in. Also, the terms need to be changed from Natives to Minor Civs and such.

Combat-> reflect M:C terms and setting, add info about Combat Gears with Glancing Blows and such

Diplomacy-> M:C terms, add in new Diplomacy options, Trade Techs, Research Pacts, etc

Economy-> M:C's economy is currently in debate, still we need to reflect current changes here

Europe-> needs to be renamed to Trade Screens and appropriate info placed here

Food-> needs to reflect the new Growth features, Luxury Food, and such things as Civics that change the needed amount of food

Founding Fathers-> needs to have M:C terms, Founding Dignitaries and such

Great Generals-> these guys are still a work in progress, they no longer attach themselves to units, but can still use their abilities, and fight like other units.

Guns-> Info replaced with Weapons, Tools (for initial military units), and Armor

Immigration-> the new Immigration screen detailed and also the Live Immigration mentioned where units travel from on map villages

Import/Export-> Here we need all the new info about Feeder Service, Consumption, and things like Foreign I/E and AI Traders perhaps

Liberty Bells, Revolution, and Victory-> all this needs to reflect the new M:C victory conditions

Natives-> changed to Minor Civs and their differences from Natives detailed, like Minor Civs will build roads now

Professions-> reflect M:C terms and details new Sub-profession system

Schoolhouses, etc -> reflect M:C terms, detail new school system

Settlements-> detail the new settlement types and their Features

The New Word-> pretty much details the terrains and bonuses so needs to reflect M:C stuff, perhaps renamed to The Medieval World

Tools
-> reflect new importance on tools for early military purposes, and also trading for tools from villages

Trade-> all the new concept for M:C including establishing trading posts, and acquiring Trade Points

Treasury-> can detail new hover text that shows Income and expenses, and things like Treasury bonuses.

One thing we need to look into is the fact that natives are sometimes called Barbarians. That's confusing since there is a barbarian player.

Yes, we need an agreed upon terms for Natives/Barbarians/Minor Civs. I have already taken some steps in this in that Minor Civ units are not called Barbarians any more but Villagers. Perhaps we could use the term "Outlying" and or Foreign to represent other Units and Settlements, such as Outlying Villager, or Outlying City.

That could be a good way for me to help. Lastly, I have been more of a passive forum reader. I do follow your discussions from time to time, but for the moment my ideas don’t add up to the ideas you are discussing.

And I must admit that I have lost track of the improvements of the current version. I started to get lost after the first working prospector profession and stall working slots. This is my last version of the mod. Since then, I read that more improvements on these have been added apart from scrolling panels for imports and exports; information when hovering the mouse over the icons… etc. Writing all this is mammoth work, but I could start doing some.

These new additions are somewhere in the forums, but I think that if I am to help with the Playpedia, waiting for the release will save me from surfing the forums a lot. I could play, find any bugs, discover the new additions and its functioning; or at least find out what I am not able to work out and ask you how it works, and write it all.

Do you think it could be a viable working method?

Do you think it could be a viable working method?

Yes, it would. I have most of the next release concepts in place, they just need fine tuned, so most of the current info will not change. However, that info is scattered about so it would be difficult to fully grasp it unless you have played.

Although, the Pedia entries that are stated as "just needing terms updated" would be pretty simple to change. Like for Improvements, you would just need to remove the vanilla references to Improvements and add in M:C ones. Preferably the more older ingrained ones so you know they shouldn't be changed any time soon.

I am excited for you all to check out the new additions though. I am in school now full swing so my time is more limited now, but I keep punching at it:hammer:
