Machu Pichu disappearing act?

I just lost Machu Picchu. I got the notice that it had been built in Ecbatana. I "liberated" Ecbatana from its persian oppressors about 50 turns later. Machu Picchu was clearly visible on its mountaintop. However, the wonder disappeared once I conquered the city. Has this happened to anybody else?

I had personally raised this bug on the Failaxis forums, in its own thread, along with a post in the official bug reporting thread way back even before the first patch.

you can presently only capture it if you use an artist to bomb the tile it is in before capturing the city that built it.
