MadDjinn, when you reach the final turns of this game, could you show all leaders and their affinity appearances?

Isn't he only allowed 250 turns? I don't think he can get to end-game.

He can diplomatically call them. It's not like that takes a turn each.

You can see what they look like after 250 turns, but that's not necessarily what they look like at the end of a full game.

It's also just what they look like in a press build. The highest level appearances might not even have been included yet.

Even though I'm probably going to sound captious, I have to mention this, because after the fiftieth time hearing it, I started cringing:

The name of the station is palatine, not pala(n)tine!!!

    ;)

MadDjinn has a troubled relationship with the English language.

It's not so much a troubled relationship. It's more a matter of how he's not necessarily on a first-name basis with some of the words--more of a "sir" or "ma'am" type of relationship. However, he's now pronouncing chitin correctly, so you need to give him kudos there. http://forums.civfanatics.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I'm willing to give any guy a lot of slack in his pronunciation if he makes up for it in enthusiasm and energy--which Mad Djinn always does in his Civ broadcasts. I'd rather listen to him do an entertaining walk-through of a game (even with mispronunciations), than listen to a live-stream by a guy who enunciates perfectly, but never says anything worthwhile or entertaining.

How about we just call it Palpatine and it provides +4 force points on trade route completion.

His strategy revolved around grabbing that spot near Kavitha, and losing it was a MAJOR setback. He got a little distracted trying to protect Palatine (one of the only positive things about this stream, too bad it did eventually fall). The failed explorers and workers were icing on the cake. I'm sure he would have really wanted to get the spies up faster, but growth was low.

Going for the second width virtue bonus was for the free virtue. It would likely cut off 10-15 turns for the free tech from the UA.

On a side note, I hope they fix all of the text errors. Trade routes not giving the correct outcome is annoying.

If you are talking about the science station, it could be just sea trade giving 1.5x yield. (gold bonus from virtue - normally 18 for the station was at tier 3 - was multiplied by 1.5 too.)

Oh, that makes sense. The text should reflect the modifiers then.

    edit:

and well, time to be sad for a while.

The Press build, it be gone, which means no more Preview streams for a bit.

Or maybe later today, who knows.

Are they replacing it with the new build you and Pete showed off a couple weeks ago?

Why did you not get some specialists (artist) during the game, you did have alot of production allready in cap and could have sacrificed some for culture.

It would be interesting to se how non GP generating specialist can competate vs generaly stronger improvements, the game seams to have a bit focus on specialist even so far as having buildings that only give specialist slots (no yield).

This seems conveniently timed. I wonder if the press build got yanked so that no more explorers/workers had to needlessly die in miasma.

That bothers me significantly less than "generalized direction". I cringe and then have a little drinkypoo every time. :crazyeye:

ah well, considering I was calling it 'Palatinate', I'm wondering whether it was me saying it wrong or him hearing it wrong :crazyeye:

Ooohh. Now Mad Djinn is going to have to pull that poisoned arrow out of his back. As if he wasn't already distracted enough! ;)

I think we heard every possible permutation of a word that starts with "pala" and ends with "ine" or "ate" to be fair. :D

He'll probably do it shortly, he just needs to not forget before it's too late.
