    Hello!
We are playing a game right now but there should be a new game coming up soon after it's over. Rhyme Mafia 4 is already started so just hang tight. :)

We have talked to Snerk about it, and me and Bianca will be putting up the sign-up thread for our game sometime this weekend. The game itself will not start until Rhyme mafia is either over or severely wound down (so mid to late August).

    Two things expanding on this
    1. There is one certain known element that some communities consider to be bastard, but I think most of you all are alright with. This will be known and stated in the OP
    2. The role list will be semi-open

Just to confirm, 1) and 2) are not the same, right?

The fact that the role list is semi-open isn't what I was referring to

We have a new thing. Man I am having a hard time not posting in rhymes. Thanks Snerk. Anyway...

This is a hosted subforum at Mafia Universe that belongs to US. It's a place we can host games that our ours, but use the MU software that is really designed with Mafia plating in mind. Automated vote tallying, EoD timer functions, an ISO system that makes reading the game more of a challenge for your skills than just your patience...more than I can list.

Anyway, the objective is to maintain the distinctive flavor of our community...games that feature experimental mechanics sometimes, like Catan or Star Trek; games where we are friendly and familiar but still welcoming to visitors, y'know...us. Larger games will probably be easier to handle with the tools available there, but that doesn't mean abandoning here. It's up to the hosts to look at the expected size of their games and decide where they will run best, and our host scheduling to keep us from competing against ourselves for players.

So settle in. Grind through the getting an account and other not that fun stuff. Check in and feel free to ask questions.

You're trying to put me out of a job. Without vote tallying, what am I?

I was about to offer to start signups there (Guy Ritchie's London Mafia!) but I don't want to steal players from Dolbster and biancasbotique here.

Maybe as people are dying out of that game you could run a couple micros over there so people can get familiar with the software.

Off-topic: I had to get tested for COVID-19 and it came back negative today. :)

There should still be games here, but with the benefits to hosts I'd guess a lot of the bigger and more complicated games will wind up in our subforum. The key I think is not to look at it as moving so much as just using a tool. They will still be our games.
