Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, Star Trek computer, dies

Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, Gene Roddenberry's wife who had numerous roles in Star Trek, most famously as the computer on all the shows has died. She just finished doing the voice work for the upcoming Star Trek film. She made a great computer and will be missed.

I never cared for her much as Troi's mom, but she was good as nurse Chapel. Also did well as the Centauri lady on Babylon 5. Fare thee well, Majel.

I liked her as Laxana Troi, she thought she was funny. She was especially good in an episode where she fell in love with an alien who was going to be killed because of his age.

She has several very good episodes in Deep Space 9, when she becomes friends with Odo.
