Right now i am making a map for Civ 3: Conquests and have a couple of questions before i put it in the completed maps sections. This is the first map i have made my self btw.

1) Do i need to change any of the default scenario settings. I want this to be just like a normal game of civ 3, just without a random map.

2) Do i have to change the save format so i can post it.\

3) It is an island map, and all of the islands are connected by sea. Would it be smarter to link them up via coast so they expand quicker?

Thank you for your help.

I'm not a veteran modder, but hopefully I can answer this.

1. Nope, nothing. I'm pretty sure the moment you add some sort of terrain to the map, the "edit map" setting is checked, which is the only thing that needs to be. You'r all ready as far as this goes.

2. Don't think so. Just zip it up and post it.

3. Depends. Is it a realistic map or just one for gameplay fun? If it's for the latter, you might consider joining them together. Better yet, have 2 tiles of sea between the coasts so that galleys may just barely cross over to the other side.
