    I agree !
    Spoiler :

Just to point out, as we've finally heard a bit about modding tonight, that while I'm making a lot of noise (and will continue to do) about the need of the source code DLL, we can already do a lot of stuff with the current scripting, and I hope we'll see custom scenario in the future (and I can confirm again that the official scenarios are good source for learning about scripting)

Absolutely. I've seen a couple reviews say that $40 is too much to ask and that it's not a good value. I wish those people would watch this livestream. The time and money that goes into the art & music alone is amazing.

How's the dog doing? Is he really broken up about the new scout cats?

The Black Plague scenario looks very interesting, with a lot of fun and interesting changes.

The War Machine scenario seems like a relatively straightforward, maybe even boring, clickfest alternatively.

That said, I generally enjoy the military clickfest scenarios most :dunno:

He knows I would never put them into my game. I saw them in Quill's stream today, they are cute though.

Because I watched the aforementioned stream, I'm just now starting to watch this one.

What a great livestream! I really appreciated the interviews with the artists and composers. It was nice to get some behind-the-scenes info, some notes on the new themes, and to give some different creative types the spotlight.

And Sarah has done a great job of managing the always-tricky live broadcast.

I didn't realize Ed worked on Civ3 Conquests (as a sub-contractor) before he came to Firaxis. I think it was his doing that I liked that expansion pack, and some of the scenarios were fun. I really did like they used actual ship names for the WW2 Pacific scenario.

And Ed said his favorite features in this XP is the Civilizations themselves. I actually like his touch on the Civ series a lot, seems to mesh well with what I like in games.

Very briefly. They had to do more work on her not only because of her two different roles but because she turns around.

If in CIV IV and V the DLL came before the second (and final) expansion, then that just might be another nudge towards a third (or more expansion). That is, the DLL only comes out a few months before the final expansion.

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to the entire Firaxis team for making this game and expansion. Maybe you don't always feel appreciated in your work because we often criticize certain game mechanics. But we appreciate all the hard work put into this game. And it was great to see Sarah back at the helm (though I like Pete a lot too and he's pretty funny), and see Ed and Dennis as well. I really like this team a lot. And I do appreciate all the work that went into the game, and I think the floods look pretty cool on the map as well as the volcanos of course. You have made me a fan, and I would gladly buy another expansion. Thank you again Firaxis for designing a great game. I would tweet this, but I don't have that tweeter thingy (I know the name, I'm just being silly), posting it here will have to suffice.

Ed Beach has a background in boardgaming and he's on a good wavelength design-wise.

I hope you're right, it'd suck if we didn't get the DLL source at all for Civ VI.

I was hoping that the Black Death scenario would lead to a 3rd expansion with all of the things that were left out of GS:

    Italy, Byzantines, Health mechanic.

That's it. That's all I need. You can throw in the Maya and Portugal if you must, but I don't need them.
