Out of Lavonia, Georgia, USA comes one of the most disturbing news stories I've ever seen.

A man has been accused of holding his wife and four children captive (through physical intimidation) in a mobile home for three years, never letting them outside (except on one occasion). He forbid the wife and children from cleaning the home, and consequently a profound amount of trash built up from ceiling to floor. When the police woman first opened the door, she immediately had to turn and throw up, and when investigators went in, they had to wear gas masks. Roaches, yellow jackets, and other insects were crawling and flying all over the place. Three of the children had never been to school, and the fourth child had only been to second grade (he is 14). The man allegedly raped his wife, at least once in front of the children.

"It's all about control," says the police chief.

Mangxema was right. Georgia never gets in the news unless it's some sick or backwards horsehockye.

I do remember a couple months back they got in the news because some parts were running out of water.

Ahhhh stop looking at the glass likes its half empty.

Well then they were the first American team to lose the World Series to a Canadian team. :mischief:

austria will soon sue georgia for copyright violations.

Two great achievements of Georgia and Austria?

Austria convinced the world that Hitler was German. Georgia convinced the world that Stalin was Russian.

Both Georgia's appear to be areas that currently suck. I think their is a curse in the name.

I couldn't help but laugh but I guess it wouldn't be that funny for the people it happened to ...
