Man stops yobs robbing store, is arrested for assault

What is juvenile is that you assume because I quoted you, as a member of a cadre of several posters maintianing roughly the same position, that I am actually talking directly to you. This is odd, since I already said exactly that, but give your general inability to follow logic to its conclusion I really shouldn't expect much from you.

Err, what? If you quote me and type a response, it's pretty clear that you are also speaking to me. Therefore, I am justified in giving my answer. What's the problem? And I could speak for the other posters because it's clear that whatever you are accusing them of is not true.

RTFT. I am forced to assume this is your problem in a lot of threads. Also, this thread does not exist in a vacuum.

So you have nothing else to say, eh? What are referring to here, if anything? How is that supposed to help you make your case or to discredit me?

Because you obviously didn't Read The F*%&@g Thread where people damn well did maintain that citizens have no right to interfere in police work, PERIOD. Even if they didn't, as this thread doesn't exist in a vacuum, the very same actors did in this threads sister describin the Marine in the US.

I did. I was in this thread from the very beginning and I see no such stance. Instead of getting worked up like a kid who is denied victory in a clever debate, why don't you show me something concrete?

I was not involved in the other thread, but it doesn't matter what the other posters said elsewhere. So far, nobody here holds the position you describe. From what I see, it's likely that they never do.

EDIT: You know, you wrote so incoherently that I didn't know what you were talking about. Now that I read more closely, I think I do. Well, yes, I posted in the other thread. But I don't recall seeing anyone actually say that people can't defend themselves, only people remarking that the Marine might have overreacted. Still, this has no bearing on the fact that what you said in this particular thread is blatantly false. Nobody has said that we should simply let criminals be, as you are asserting, with or without comparison to the other thread.

1.) You need to look up the definition of strawan, you're doing it wrong. (hint, it is the concept of none citizen involvement I commented on, not the specific case int he OP).

2.) Your inability to articulate why we shouldn't just let the police take care of that rape just reduced you to the sniveling culture warrior wannabe we all knew you were anyway.

I believe the argument is, not to allow the rape to happen, but for the police to take seriously when the accused (and not convicted, therefore innocent until proven guilty) rapist claims to have been assaulted and there is evidence to back up his claim.

If that were not the case, people could go around beating up anyone they didn't like and claim they were raping someone.

Laws should apply to everyone. (Ideally.)

Why do you need to divert away from England? Does pointing out things happen in other places excuse it or make it right? Does it negate it in any way?
Jeepers, you sure know how to miss a point. Or miss a post alltogether. It's pretty blatantly clear why I picked an example outside of England. After all, I asked Leonel why he focussed on England, when these sort of things happen in every western country and provided an example in case I was called on it.

Now I have a question for you Skad. In what way, shape or form did I indicate by doing this, that I excuse this, or somehow said this made it right? Or even negated it. Please use the post you replied to to indicate where I am doing anything even close to that.

edit: After seeing your second post, for your information, I left the source deliberatly out of my reply since I simply wanted to know what Leonel's beef with England was. Instead of repeating things allready said.

edit 2: I now just read the article. And I can say that I wouldn't have waited for two hours. I would have been outside much sooner, and I'd be in Mr. Davis' position facing charges. It should have been pretty obvious from the scene if there's broken glass and rock laying about what was going on. A responsetime of two and a half hours is rediculous.

Happy now?

Did you miss the question marks in my post? It is blatantly clear why you picked one outside of England to point out it happens else where. Why did you do that? What is your motivation? That's why I asked questions. These folliowing questions.

Why do you need to divert away from England? Does pointing out things happen in other places excuse it or make it right? Does it negate it in any way?

Questions with question marks.

Well thanks for that. I'm so glad you told me that for my information.

Why is it a "beef" to add another example that shows similarities to the OP? This thread is about criminals getting away and people who are standing up to criminals getting charged. And it happens to be in England. Both stories. England. This is about England and the way it treats its citizens when they fight back because England's government and police aren't doing a good enough job.

But I guess showing more examples of vandals getting away with destroying property in England and getting away with it is unacceptable. If we dare to point out in a thread about England when another similar case in England pops up we must be equatists and relativists and bring up other nations too. You know to be fair to England. We wouldn't want to single out England and its problems with this type of thing more then once in a thread about England and this type of thing.

No problem. I'm that kinda guy.

And people wonder why I shake my head sadly at England.
And England keeps them coming;
Do these quotes answer your question?

I know hairdryers which are less productive.

I'm sorry to hear you have so much issues about my question to Leonel. I'm afraid I'm not going to justify that question to you. I don't think it would do much good since it seems you allready know the answer no matter what I post. It couldn't be mere curiousity could it? Of course not. Equatism! Relativism! Posting examples is unacceptable!!

Instead I'll just wait for Leonel's reply. ;)

I'm at work, you guys! (Although that hasn't stopped me before hurhurhur :D)

Why? Because these things seem to disproportionately happen in England. Especially in cases in which it is quite obvious who the victim really is. Sure these things happen around the world but I find most of them happen in England of all places. Why is that? Why is this phenomenon seemingly so prevalent in England?

Because we post our news in the same language you speak, so it is vastly more likely to be re-reported in your own news by certain elements that wish to ridicule the librul lunacy of yurop.

 The holier-than-thou attitude fails.

OMG, THEY ARRESTED A FEW HELPFUL CITIZENS, THEY MUST ALL BE ISLAMOFASCISTS!!! Wait, we do too... Aw, shucks!
