Hi, what do you think about making Manhattan Project a "Team Project"? ( which means each civ have to make their own in order to build nukes) Currently I always hesitate to build it because there always seem to be better things to spend my hammers on, but I also wanted it to be something worthy to experience history

The current thing is not very realistic, since even today many countries cant make nuke like 60yrs after M Proj.(Iran is trying to build it for example) They definitely have fission too since they do have nuclear power plants( Japan, South Africa).

Also if you are behind in Tech or small in game, it does not benefit you much to build MProj. But just look at N Korea going at it in real life...

This is also in Project Synthesis I think, so Linkman should like it.

I agree, I wonder if it is possible to have dynamic names for projects: Manhattan project for the U.S, Tube Alloys for England etc.

I'd say pretty much any country with the technical know-how to build a nuclear reactor is capable of building a nuclear weapon nowadays, they just choose not to. I mean, if Japan, Germany, South Africa etc. really wanted a bomb I doubt they'd have much trouble. They just don't due to geopolitics. Maybe the Manhattan Project could start a "corporation" and bombs could only be built in cities where that corp was located. It would only spread, and slowly, to civs with the correct techs. If the UN resolution gets passed, it stops spreading entirely. Thoughts?

I thought Manhattan Project was turned to team project ages ago.

In game though, it matters little since it's very easy to pass the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty through the UN.
