[GS] Maori marae in Spain?

Walked by a "chiringuito" named Marae this morning. Would not have known the significance if not for Gathering Storm.

A chirinquito is a temporary bar usually set-up by the beach for the summer season … not exactly religious, but definitely social!

Maori culture is not really religious as a westerner tends to think of it, it is more tied to the customs and cultural behaviour which is all social. Marae’s are 100% social houses, hence they are cultural buildings not religious. They are meeting houses. Good to see it spreading around the globe.

Well they do like their karakia (prayers) mostly to the Christian God, but yeah, Marae themselves are as Victoria describes.
