This weekend i tried myself on arcanum and that is the result of it:

ARCANUM
Dimension: 80x80
Size: Huge
Player: 11
Startingpositions: 12
Options/Victories: Standard

This map is the continent Arcanum of the RPG Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.

The Startingplots are mainly on the same places as the most cities excluded 2 or 3 that i placed after my mind.

This looks like a great map. I like the dividing mountain range, although it is not impenetrable, and also the sheer amount of space. Resource location has also been done quite well. Yes, great empires could be established on this map. When i play it later tonight ill give every civ an extra settler just to make things interesting.

i try to stay very close to the original if i make a map an the original has only 2 ways over the mountains and so the map has (one in the southern part and one in the snowy edge). also i thought an impenetrable mountainrange could be quite interesting.
at first i thought 80x80 were a little bit small, but then "woo-ho"....

have fun playing it and give me some response. i haven't played it yet but run some aiplays to see how it works with ressources and startlocs and so on.
