Map of the Wild West 80X65

I'm a big fan of Spaghetti Westerns. So i decided to make a Map of the American West with a huge part of Mexico (cause Mexico plays a big role in Spaghetti Westerns).

I tried to place resources as acurate as possible.
So long, Cowboys, have fun playing this map.

Hab eine vorlage angehängt. die weißen vierecke sind die startpositionen für die civs.

Thanks for trying to write in German, but I have no idea what you mean. Sorry. Try it in English, maybe then I understand.

terribly sorry for my awful german. I was trying to say that as much as i love the map, i find it difficult to start a large civilization in the area of what is now northern new mexico. i am unable to get enough food to build large cities. this is partially my fault for lack of experience with the map, but please look into the food in the northern new mexico area. (i am somewhat obsessive over this region, having lived in santa fe for much of my life)

Your german isn't awful, it's just a very complicated language, with a lot of words that can mean a lot of things, and I never thought of food (Nahrung) when I read "Hilfsmittel" (helpful stuff). I can tell you the same words, I once told a mexican student, who almost despaired while learnign German: Be glad, that you don't have to speak this language all the time, like I have to

Now for the map: I tried to place resources accurat, but that's not always possible, above all not, when my only source is an atlas, that shows only a few resources. I'm sorry for having underestimated New Mexicos fertility.
Anyhow: you can place resources, food, and anything else you like very easily yourself in WorldBuilder.

Of course I don't mind. I'd love to play a Mexican-American-War-Scenario, above all after watching "The Alamo" by John Wayne last night. (although this wasn't the Mexican-American War) I always love to see my maps used in scenarios. Therefor they are made.

hope soon we see gunslingers, saloons, pony-express in a nice scenario/mod

i would do it myself, but i m not so skilled in modding.. can only provide ideas, comments etc.

Yes, I would also like to see a wild-west-mod. With the USA, Confederates, Republic of Texas, Mormons, Mexico, Siuox, Apache, .....
But I don't have the modding-know-how.
So I can only hope someone would do one someday....

I like this map because I wanted to make some scenarios to go with my mod (see sig)! I am also working on an Americas module-pack that adds Canada and Mexico to the mod as well (when/if you download the mod check the discussion thread for previews of the Mexico and Canada modules). I could probably throw together a Texas Module and make a nice little Mexican-American War mod with this map.
