Map Suggestions and Requests

Since the "Suggestions and Requests" thread is mostly focused on unit/building/tech tweaks and ideas, I thought the forum could use a thread focused just on mapping, with people's various new-map screenshots going in here.

- Regarding the 1700 AD scenario:
- Could Russia and Sweden start at war with "WARPLAN_TOTAL"? It actually began at exactly 1700 and also began the events that led to the collapse of Poland.

- Could France get a colony in Eastern India (Yanaon?). For a while they had quite a foothold in the area, and were allied with Tipu Sultan against the British. They could begin with a Defensive Pact.

- Start Tamils 1 tile to the south, with Bengalaru as their capital, so Portuguese Goa can squeeze in as fort-city controlling just the coast. Mahishuru gets its name changed to Bangalore when the British conquer it anyway.

- Weaken China and Turkey. In so many games I've played both these Civs end up as world superpowers, sometimes even eclipsing the European civs. Perhaps station some Japanese spies in China to mess them up and replace Guangzhou with Portugese Macau. Take away China and Turkey's starting cash to reflect them in state of financial crisis and prevent them teching far.

If we implement Great Northern War then we also need to start 1700 with the war of Spanish Succession (1701–1714), which was a major European conflict of the early 18th century, triggered by the death in 1700 of the last Habsburg King of Spain, the infirm and childless Charles II. Basically French and Spain against the rest of Europe. But for open ended scenario like this one -- all those wars would be too deterministic. It is already possible to manipulate civs (except England which already starts at war with Indians) to declare on your desired opponent. As 1700 AD Poland you can use your tech lead to make Russia to declare on Sweden while at the same time make Turkey to declare on Russia, and then use the right moment and attack Kiev!
