A nice write-up as always! I really appreciate the effort that you (and contributors) put into this. Those are some lovely-looking maps. :)

Only Zulu city-names I've spotted in the First Look video were Nongoma, Bulawayo, and Ulundi (the capital).....

UmGungundlovu (Dingane's royal kraal) is bound to turn up too. In fact I'd wager they just repeat the city list from Civ V and Civ IV, which seem to be identical: http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Zulu_cities_(Civ5)

In fact, that's almost certainly what they've done, judging from the erroneous use of Ulundi as Shaka's capital.

A very good write-up, Bite. I agree about the Sahel and Swahili coast, and would add a certain expected Andean empire would have filled the map nicely. The only other areas that seem to be woefully unrepresented mapwise is Tibet (unlikely), and Sweden (possible). It does seem that R&F really filled in typically unsung geographic areas this round, which is always welcome.

I see an overlap with the Majapahit (Indonesia civ) and the Dutch East Indies.

I didn't expect Mapuche to be this far south, Cree so far north west, Chandragupta bordering Iran, Georgia being that huge...

Also, I am surprised Dutch Indies don't cover Java.

So for today’s map, we looking at the new Rise and Fall expansion for
Civilization VI, so we are including everything in the base game of
Civilization VI, as well as what was include in the Poland, Viking,
Australia, Persia/Macedonia, Nubia, and South East Asia DLC packs, and
today we are adding upon that the Rise and Fall expansion pack.

Great info but the opening sentence is an abomination.
    1. Too many clauses strung together.
    2. It should be "included" not "include".

I disagree wholeheartedly. While this is a pretty map, it is not useful at all in assessing underrepresented regions.

For example, Spain in no way represents south and Central America. It is led by Philip II who had only begun to scratch the surface of the area. There are no cities from the region on their city list (and Havana is a real stretch away as it is). Besides that, Spain just does not represent that region, even as a colonised entity. It’s conquered land, from someone else’s history.

In terms of seeing where space is filled, it would be much better to look at the core territory of what culturally identifies as that nation, as that is what the devs have tried to represent. I’m that scale, the map is next to empty in the America’s and Africa

Thanks for this. Seeing it all plotted on a map suggests the game could do with more Asian wonders, plus at least one from eastern Europe. Central Asia, western South America and most of central Africa remain black holes. But the absence of CSes leads me to hope maybe those areas will get attention in the next round of DLCs.

Indeed - the Empires of Britain, Rome and Spain in particular make it look like there is more representation in South and Central America, and any at all in West, East and North Africa beyond Egypt and Nubia. These, along with perhaps the Polynesian islands stand out as being the key empty spots.

Indeed, one would hope that we would get the Incas to help fill out South America at some point
