At first it strikes to me as one of the ancient era palaces (so no specific). Can't tell which era they are playing when it is seen in the FL, however.

You are looking at a picture of a ball and saying 'that is a very bad square.'

Indeed. It's easy to express disappointment without disrespect, there is no excuse for the latter.

I haven't watched too much gameplay yet but it seems like if a civ is in a dark age it's not going to launch a war campaign, given the negative loyalty. It seems like civs in a dark age will have to hunker down and defend.

(Aside: presumably there could be a civ that gets a bonus towards those in dark ages. Modders are you listening?!)

Civs in normal/golden+ ages are the ones that go on an offensive. So it looks like the Mapuche can take on those?! Push back.

Then which Civilization with a "global impact" were you hoping for instead of the Mapuche?

The Romans conquered many civilizations, but were eventually conquered by the Goths. Maybe they shouldn't be in the game either

    1. Been done before
    2. Grew up in Spain hating Rome, but also hating the leadership in Carthage. Did not step foot in Carthage from the time he was little until he was recalled from Italy (so roughly 30 years outside of Carthage).
    3. He was elected Judge (chief magistrate) in Carthage post-war. But Carthage was now weak because of the war Hannibal didn't win and that position was no longer the actual leader of Carthage (it was a council).
    4. Carthage was willing to turn on him in a second and exiled him.
    5. He's known as being a general, so I like him as a Great General.
    6. He's a bit of a one-trick pony. His thing is he hates Rome. He spent his childhood growing up to fight a war with Rome. He spends much of his post-war life trying to get people excited about the idea of fighting Rome. He spent his exile helping people fight Rome.
    7. It reduces Carthage's interesting history to fighting a war they lost. We already have leaders who are known for resisting the rise of a major power (Lautaro, Poundmaker). There are people who advocate for more of them. But why have that for Carthage? You have a Canaanite civilization that was formed as a colony from another maritime Canaanite civilization. It merged Phoenician and North African cultures. It recruited mercenaries from the surrounding peoples. It dominated the Western Mediterranean. I don't want a powerful naval civilization to become Elephants crossing the Alps.

The Mapuche would be startled to learn that they aren't still alive today :p... Mapuche individuals even responded to the First Look video on Twitter to correct the spelling of Leftraro's name, to say that he was, in fact, shaven-headed, and that the axehead shouldn't be around his neck (although the in-game model does have the toqui axe at his waist as well).

To add to your comment, "Virtually annihilated by Chile" is a gross simplification and exaggeration of what actually happened.

The Spanish conquered many civilizations, but collapsed and were routed by the Americans.
The British by the Germans and Gandhi.
    etc.

It's different by a little bit. They were already researching into the Renaissance era in the video. My question is why did they have the generic monument? Maybe that was before they added in the regional variants.

Carthage will be added to Civ6 eventually....they've been in the game since Civ2, so it's highly unlikely they won't make it to Civ6.

At least, Vicky's animations are cute. :p
