This is one of the most informative review videos I've seen. Surprised it hasn't been posted and I think it's worth mentioning and for people to check out.

He doesn't give a score, and describes the game as boiling down to "it's good, BUT" then goes on to explain what all those big 'BUT's are to help you decide if the current state of the game will work for you or not.

An excellent, balanced overview I think. Particularly good feedback on the UI shortcomings - tbh kinda shocking some of those issues made it through (no way to see which buildings are Ageless once they are built or on the map???)

Yea, it's pretty bad to be honest. And UI issues for a strategy game are not a small thing. UI in this game is basically your "controller". Is a good game that controls poorly still a good game? It's gonna be frustrating to say the least. I've decided to wait on purchasing, for this and some other reasons.

I think this is the best review I have seen so far. Very informative, calm and measured. Actually useful for making a decision on whether to buy or not.

I hate the inability to customize the game. I just keep running out of time... I liked civ 6, where you could basically have unlimited turns until you won domination
