Presenting a new IAAR from Greek Productions Inc:
Senatus Populusque Romanus, and welcome to Mare Nostrum! This IAAR is an interactive character-based story played in DoC 1.12 that YOU will help write!
Here are the roles you can choose:
Senator:
The backbone of the Roman government, Senators vote on major decisions such as war, technological research, civics and religion. They set the policy for the nation as a whole, in peacetime and wartime.
Application for Senator:
Name:
Province (Each city counts as a province, until we have 4 cities there is no limit on how many senators can be from each province):
Political Party (Independents are allowed):
Political Parties can be created by any Senator, simply choose a name and outline your policies and goals.
Consul:
The consul is the head of the government, and oversees the nation. He can override the decisions of the regional governors (see below) and commands armies in wartime. He also has a veto over the decisions of the senate, but can be overturned by a 2/3rds majority. (Yes, that's not the historical role of the veto, but it works better for a game.) The consul is chosen by a vote of all players in the game via a secret ballot PMed to me. There will be a period of campaigning lasting 3 IRL days before a 1 day voting period. Anyone can run for consul and they can be part of political parties.
Form to Announce a Campaign for Consul:
Name:
Political Party:
Previous Job:
It is also recommended to add a short speech about what you're going to do,
Centurion:
Centurions can command a unit, as well as its promotions. They command it in peacetime exploration/garrison duty but also in wartime if the Consul does not order otherwise.
Centurion Application:
Name:
Unit:
Unit Name (If you don't have an idea one will be created for you):
Governor:
Governors determine the build order and specialists for cities. Every 15 turns I will submit screenshots of the available build list for the governors to produce.
Governor Application:
Name:
City you wish to Govern:
There will be a few days for everyone to settle in and create their characters, but afterwards we will begin the campaigns for Consul and start the first set of turns!
Will you be a brave and daring centurion, fighting to expand Roman territory? A shrewd politician, making backroom deals to secure your own power? Or a governor, fine-tuning your city into the pride of Rome? It's your decision, now go and make Rome great!
