Just thought some might like to know, if you don't have the games and, like me, your friends are poking you like crazy with Mass Effect 3 about to come out, here's a good chance to picking up the first two on the cheap (they're usually $20 apiece whether on Amazon or Steam ... $5 apiece is a steal!).

    Oh wow, that's a steal.

I might actually buy it now.

As opposed to the last half-dozen times it has been on sale for $5 in the last year or two? :p

Yeah it was on sale for that price on Steam several times in 2011.

Haven't actually played them. The style of RPG didn't seem to appeal to me. It seemed too console-ish. If it is like Dragon Age 2, I'll pass. If someone convinces me it isn't like Dragon Age 2, I may give them a go.

i don't trust origin and their understanding of privacy. I also don't see why i should have to install a rootkit on my pc on their behalf.

Amazon has its own digital service, I am pretty sure these are not codes you have to activate on Origin and ME1 & 2 do not use Origin (ME3 will though, at least for the activation). I don't like Origin either but it does not install a rootkit and they removed that part of the EULA about them spying on users a while ago (the rest of it is the same EULA crap everyone else uses anyway).
