Massive 25-75% off games on STEAM

There's a demo available for download, though the last time I checked not through steam. For my part, I love the game.

I downloaded the demo through Steam

Company of Heroes Gold is a good buy right now.

I bought Dawn of War Everything on impulse but regret it. It's just not near the same quality as COH goes for RTS.

id Everything for $35 is really tempting but I've bought so much of it over the years already (and hence played it to death and threw out the CDs)

Yeah, DoW was great when it came out, but mostly lingered because of the fan boyz. If you're not into that universe, it doesn't compare to COH. It hardly has any terrain effects and only a little strategy until the later campaign modes.

I enjoyed firing up Doom2 (99cents) and comparing it to Half-Life: Opposing Forces (99c ents). If only Steam had Duke Nukem 3D also.

If you like Breakout/Akranoid, I recommend checking out Reaxxion (99cents). It is a neat reinterpretation.

I've played through the demo today and it seemed a little short if its a sixth of the game although I guess the later sections are trickier and probably longer. I think I'll wait until the price drops below £10. Its a shame that there doesn't seem to be a level editor for it.

Anyone have any feelings about x3 Reunion and Terran Conflict?

This is cheaper than terran conflict seperately :crazyeye:

I kind of want to use the opportunity to get a $5 audiosurf....

I have X3, it's a good game, dynamic universe/economy, it's pretty withotu being system demanding. My friend is obsessed with the series now (I havn't yet gotton around to properly learning how to play it, I have too many games :p).

I'm downloading Reunion right now. I'll tell you if I like it. Most reviews describe it as Elite (cheezy flight sim) + economic sim.

I figure if I like it, I'll pick up Terran Conflict later in box form. It's like 11 gigs installed so I figure it's a bit big to download.

I got Audiosurf when it was $3 a few months ago. That'd be about what it's worth. The mainly cool feature is you can play a rare song and instantly be the top scorer. Cool idea, but it definitely needs some game-play revamping.

Ok guys, looking for opinions on The Witcher EE vs Mount&Blade vs Oblivion. Suggestions? The Witcher EE is $30, M&B is $15 and Oblivion GoTY Edition is $20 (plus tax since it would be in-store purchase) :)

Mount&Blade definately. Witcher Enhanced is good too. Oblivion is a large download, and while good not as good as the other two (M&B has great gameplay, Witcher has a great Story, Oblivion lacks in both those departments.)

I checked out Reunion for about 90 minutes. It is pretty sexy in the graphics department, if you find astronomy and textured spaceships to be sexy. Went through the first mission with some dogfighting. The controls are kind of wonky with a mouse and keyboard, especially for some rapid combat movements. Tie Fighter, it is not. The universe has a bit of personality, so I was giving it some time to get into the economics, when after exiting a docking station (the only savegame points) I got a CTD crash. ugh. IDK, I guess I'll keep playing and it's worth $10. Not planning on running out to get the Terran Conflict though.

I'm thinking of getting railroads and pirates. Maybe tycoon 3 as well. There are some cheap games, including good ol commander keen, that game was awesome!

FYI: Rome Total War Complete (original game + both expansions) has returned to the Steam store for $8.99

Like with the Unreal games, Valve didn't have enough keys on hand to meet demand :O

Link to the Complete pack:

IMHO, this is the best deal on Steam right now.

Since I already had RTW and its expansions, I elected to get M2TW and Kingdoms, largely in preparation for the release of EB II (:p); so far, I'm pretty satisfied, especially since I've figured out how to use Stainless Steel. Good stuff all around.

Yeah X3 is mostly focused on trading and economy, (you end up running a trade empire by remote control mostly), but I've never gotton very far myself just due to too many games. There is a stickied thread with guides on the official forums that is quite helpful.

Cool, I got Fleet Command for 10$, and with two other sub games (688i hunter and sub command). I'd been wanting to play that again for ages. The shame is that I still have the CD right there in front of me.
Those Steam guys, they sure know what they're doing.
