(Some catchy tune from some crappy song they play at work is stuck in my head >_<)

I've decided the best money I spent on Steam this week was:

Zen of Sudoku ($5), and Gumboy Crazy Adventures (like $2.50 in the $10 best of the indies pack). Honorable mention to Red Orchestra ($8) since it has the coolest looking urban maps, and crazy realism.

Still lots of cool late gen games that I already own, like Far Cry 1, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six part III, Half-life 2 etc...

i have to say, valve proofs that game compagnies can flourish in these times and without crappy DRM.

How long until Valve outweighs EA? (one can only hope)

Ok Prince Scamp, the demo sucked me in, I just bought M&B :p

VALVe often uses EA as a publisher for the retail physical copies of it's games. STEAM however means 100% of the profit goes to VALVe.

In May 2008, Valve estimated that Steam sales would surpass retail sales within 2-3 months. That means half or more sales are made through Steam. Even before reaching 50%, Steam sales (by virtue of bypassing retailers) probably accounted for half or more of Valve's total revenue.

Good man, but, damnit, why do people keep putting a space in my name!?

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic 7.49 USD
Jagged Alliance 2 9.99 USD
IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 7.49 USD

Last game purchase I shall allow myself for three months.

Thinking about getting L4D. What do you hoi polloi think?

I just call you Scampi. You may have noticed. :p

Have you played it before? I didn't care for it. It is a lot of waiting for your submarine to sail (float? swim? sputter?) through the ocean.
It's a simulation, not an arcade game. 90% of the time a U-boat spent was surfaced, and patrolling. However, find a nice convoy, approach stealthily, and use magnetic pistols to break a tanker's back...nothing else like in in the world!

Yup, I'd say it's like sex. The build-up is nice and easy but the release...Oh Em Gee.

I guess you consider Valve's DRM as non-crappy? :crazyeye::lol:

DRM should be DRR - Digital Rights Restrictions/Restricted.

BTW, sale is over. :( I was thinking about trying Steam out for a $5 game.
