The Let's Players Advantage:
To allow this whole game to be logged from beginning to end by at least one lets player I have added a "Let's Players Advantage". The game will be completely normal and fair while there is more than 1 let's player alive. Once/If it gets to the point where all but one lets player is alive versing only non-lets players then that lets player will gain the "Let's Player Advantage" for the rest of the game. This advantage basically means that no other civ/player is allowed to destroy that let's players last city unless the game has only 2 human players left (the lets player and non-lets player). So you can destroy all their cities and units except for their capitol. You may kill units defending their capital but as long as you leave at least one unit defending their capital. The lets player advantage is disabled when its down to the final two players.

How to request to join the game or add settings:
Just ask as a reply below explaining what setting you want, don't want or if you will be joining us and what kind of lets play you will do for this (If any).

The multiplayer method - instructions by koshling:

svn+ssh://koshling@svn.code.sf.net/p/c2cmp/code/trunk c2cmp-code

replace koshling in the above with your sourceforge username and attach it to a working folder on your computer with Tortoise like you did for C2C.

It contains two folders (both currently empty):

Gamefiles - this will have the save itself in, and probably an order of play txt file, where the current person to play will have an * by their name. Procedure will be - load the save game, play turn, save back to the savegame file, edit the turn order text to move the * to the next person's name, and push the two file changes to SVN for the next person.

Assets - my intention is to keep the official version of the game we're using (will be V27 initially) as a copy in the 'Assets' folder so that when we upgrade we can all be certain we are using the same thing.

Add me in. I'll also go and find those minor options for you.

Advanced start
No city razing
No city flipping from culture
City flipping after conquest
No barbarians
Raging barbarians
Aggresive AI
Unrestricted leaders
Random personalities
Choose religions
No tech trading
No tech brokering
Permanent alliance (Now THAT would be interesting)
Always war
Always peace
One city challenge
Always war or peace (randomly picks either always war, or always peace, I assume)
New random seed on reload
Lock modified assets
Require complete kills
No vassal states
No tribal villages (goody huts)
No events
No espionage
Barbarian world
No REV
Limited religions
No inquisitions
No barbarian civs (Barbs cannot spontaneously turn into a civilization)
No Tech diffusion
Start off as minor civ
Multiple production
Multiple research
Usable mountains
Surround and destroy
Advanced diplomacy
Unlimited wonders
Barbarian generals
Assimiliation
Final five
High to low
Increasing difficulty
Ruthless AI
Great commanders
Culturally linked starts
Personalized maps
Advanced economy
Realistic culture spread
Larger cities without metropolitan administration
Realistic corporations
Barbarians always raze
United Nations (Enables construction of the U.N. even if diplo victory is disabled)
Advanced espionage
Modern corporations
Advanced nukes
Divine Prophets
No city limits from civics
No fixed borders
Infinite exp
Unlimited national units

And for the commonly discussed BUG options, mostly it's just terrain damage. I for one, don't want archer bombard in, though. Also up are storms, resource depletion, and dynamic exp (gaining automatic upgrades based on terrain fought in instead of exp for a hard fight)

Ok settings updated again... I've got to go for a while so it may be a while before I update the settings again. Within 4 hours though!

I'm assuming absolutely everyone's going to want Multiple production, research, usable mountains, and the three "advanced" choices, advanced economy, diplomacy, and nukes.

I for one think a huge marathon game will be best, with all victories enabled except for mastery.

@12padams

I sent out invitations to all the other C2C Let's Play people (except for Boksi since I do not have an account on his forum). The full list is ...

Spoiler :

YouTube Let's Plays

I doubt we will get them, but I felt we should at least ask since that's more publicity for C2C if they show the game on their channels/threads.

I'd join, but my timezone would probably make it impossible for me to regularly participate.

City flipping after conquest
Require complete kills
Barbarian world
Multiple production
Multiple research
Usable mountains
Surround and destroy
Advanced diplomacy
Unlimited wonders
Barbarian generals
Assimiliation
Great commanders
Culturally linked starts
Personalized maps
Advanced economy
Realistic culture spread
Realistic corporations
United Nations (Enables construction of the U.N. even if diplo victory is disabled)
Advanced espionage
Modern corporations
Advanced nukes

Are my option picks. I'd go for a Standard map with a Prehistoric Snail start and Mastery victory

Divine Prophets - No (-1)
No city limits from civics - No (-1)

I'd join, but my timezone would probably make it impossible for me to regularly participate.
We're all on differing timezones. All we'd ask is that you reliably play a turn around the same time daily. For that reason, we need to define a standard time (which I think the forum already does) and post at the time of day you'd normally be able to make a turn.

I'm wondering... is it possible to kick a player from the rotation if they take too long (like more than 48 hrs) to make a turn?

Anyhow, I'm absolutely IN!

My votes are:
World Type: Perfect Mongoose (we'll need to vote on subvariations on maps when we get to a final map selection.)

World Size:
Duel -
Tiny -
Small -
Standard -
Large -
Huge - given how many players we have I say here's about right.
Giant -
Gigantic -

Climate: temperate/normal whatever is most 'usual'

Sea Level: Normal/Medium

Era: Prehistoric... kinda a duh thing here no?

Speed:
Blitz -
Quick -
Normal -
Epic - Here's my vote
Marathon -
Snail -
Eons -
Eternity -

Victories: (any above 0 votes will be turned on - you can also request against victories)

Time - no
Conquest - yes
Domination - no
Cultural - no
Religious - no
Space Race - no
Diplomatic - yes (but with the condition that we agree to no final wins via this 'victory option')
Scientific - no
Mastery - yes (we can agree on a winner before the time lapse... in short, my vote is basically for Mastery with an agreed upon Conquest override.)

Advanced start - no (-1)
No city razing - no (city razing should be allowed) (-1)
No city flipping from culture - no (city flipping from culture should be allowed) (-1)

No barbarian civs (Barbs cannot spontaneously turn into a civilization) - No (-1) I'd like us to have something to cut our armies teeth on besides each other ;) This could be a neat X factor from emergent AIs.
No Tech diffusion - No (-1) I believe its a better balanced game with this option off (and thus tech diffuse on).
Start off as minor civ - No (-1) I prefer a sense of safety in the beginning.
Multiple production - YES! (1) will be critical for a faster game speed.
Multiple research - YES! (1) as above.

Modern corporations - Yes (1) I like extra Corp options (don't think we have nearly enough yet...)
Advanced nukes - Yes (1) How devious THIS could end up...

We should probably do it in timezone order. Such as Aussies -> Europeans -> Americans.

Praetyre isn't an Aussie. We ask his country if they want to join ours every hundred years or so; they say No!. We asked last year so it is 99 years to go before we ask again.:mischief: Our constitution/document of Federation/whatever has a clause in it saying NZ can join the Federation at some later date if it wants to. ;)

I said "such as". Kiwis would get to go first I suppose. And if we have any Hawaiians they go like last. ;)

Also in the US we would have like Eastern -> Central -> Mountain -> Pacific

Which from the looks of it means I will be going last. :(

EDIT: Are you going to join DH?

Hydro, you really can't handle a huge map? Just huge? If we play on large, I have a feeling we'll need to limit the amount of people playing...

By the way, there seems to be an inordinate amount of Australians on the team, and into this mod in general. Why is that...?

Good news! Huge Loaded without crashing! :goodjob: But I know for sure I cannot play on GEM maps though.

Don't pick these as they aren't working - Advanced espionage Great commanders

How are they broken?

Updated votes up to post 10 but ive got to fix up those totals a little later as well as add the votes by those past post 10...
