Well yeah, that's why I said good districts.And not even those states are necessarily "good", even though they score well at the state level. They are just overrepresented with wealthy, highly educated parents. The poorer areas of NY, Virgina, New Jersey, etc are just as bad as anywhere else in the US.
My school had some great teachers. I think the ability of the wealthy to pay for better schooling, even at the public level, is part of it.
