BeBro's units only have the extra sharpness problem IMO, and if they are smoothened a bit, they'd be good.
IMO, they are to big, heads are scaled to be to big for the bodies, and the angle they are in is not the same as other units

Besides, just a tiny detail wouldn't make them non-Roman (just as the corvuses that you mentioned), if you know what I mean. While having them 100% accurate is a good thing, the lack of pure historical accuracy does not make them priorities compared to the MANY other areas the game needs to be modded on.
I dont care about another bloody ****ing legioarny from the imerial era, or what not, at least not now- I want my modern Roman units, ROme from a what if age of imperialism and what not

1. There are already COMPLETED Roman units out there. They can ALWAYS be edited. There are Roman units which RESEMBLE Roman units, but are somewhat different in small details, which would NEVER be noticed by anyone who doesn't know (which is the majority here). They can be used, but once other flavors are finished, could be returned to.
bull****, I would notice if a Roman musket man lacked his musket, and had a spear, and I think most people would too

3. There are still Roman unit requests pending. Even fantasy ones!
pending my ass, they arnt going to be made, not now, and we all know it
4. There is only ONE African civ, discluding the Chartagians. Without adequate flavors, it's impossible to tell the difference of the Africans from other civs, as they don't even have their own culture group! (I'm considering an epic game. I know there are African city graphics out there, but can't be implemented into the game). I want my dark-skinned friends in the game, dammit! [/B][/QUOTE]
dammit, i want my meditteranen units!- and there are
3 african civs- Zulu,. Carthage, and Egypt- I couldnt care less about some minor African Tribe- if the Zulu were the Mali, or Ethiopea, then I would, but as such, the Zulu are a minor foot note on the sole of British imperial military historys boots

1. concentrate on the already existing civs.
2. concentrate on those which really are singled out and need to be expanded.
3. concentrate on flavor replacements for the epic game, instead of making units of the same line.
hmmm...a wonder that is what I have been trying to get done with the Romans...

Now, with the Roman soldiers, it's similar. Such as the early-imperial swordsman, late imperial swordsman, republican, democrat, liberal, communist swordsmen, whatever, unless you're making a scenario, there's not really a point in making so many of them. It makes much more sense to make units to replace the already existing ones in the epic games.
you dont seem to understand I could care less if another 50 legionaies came out- I want my Roman
gunmen, I want my flavor units for what could have been
