    According to CFC "conventional wisdom" none of these were true before studies proved them. Just like anything I say is false unless I have eighteen studies to back it up (and even then people don't seem to accept it). :mischief:

    Did someone call . . .

    CAPTAIN OBVIOUS?

    (Seriously, did they? He gets really paranoid whenever he thinks he hears someone saying his name.)

    Some one should alert Aerosmith and The Stones that they should be dead. And then kill them.

    Prove it. :mischief:

    But I suppose someone had to go out and study all this. I wouldn't like to have been one tasked with this, however.

    A couple of years ago, I was watching Leno - I was bored, sue me - and he mentioned that a group of scientists had just conclusively proven that Kansas was flatter than a pancake. His response was one of the very few things he said that ever made me laugh, and it pertains to this as well;

    "HOW'S THAT CURE FOR CANCER COMIN' ALONG, FELLAS?"

    Come on CG, you're not in HS anymore. Athleticism matters less and less the older you get (well, as long as you get some regular exercise otherwise your mortality rate is much higher & quality of life lower, in general, but this need not be competitive or up to anyone else's standards, in fact, many hardcore athletes often get severely injured due to massive movement specialization and overuse, I'm reading an interesting book on the subject of human evolution and how it relates to movement right now. :)

    I walked a girl home today. Betcha didn't know that.

    I think the award for the Grand Poobah of the obvious should go to Smackdown! announcer Michael Cole. I remember he once said, and I quote the great man verbatim; "This handicap match is turning into a two-on-one affair."

    Do you have anything to prove it -- say a government study?

    Why would geologists be studying cancer?

    Ya see, there are different kinds of scientists, and . . .

    Why would so much money be thrown into a project as meaningless as finding out if Kansas is flatter than a pancake, when that money could be given to researchers who're trying to save lives?

    How certain are you that it is meaningless, and how much do you know about how much money was involved, and where it originated?
