Maya Flood Plain Start

The dice roll is on the number of flood plain tiles worked (including the city center). Each additional floodplain tile worked increases your chance of disease. I do not know the exact probabilities here. Probably something like x%*number of floodplain tile worked.

So, if I keep workers OFF of flood plain tiles in city view, does this mean I will not get disease, even though flood plains are in city radius? I thought you had a chance of disease regardless, just because of proximity.

Yes. But that is provided your city center is not on floodplain. City center counts too and there is no way you can unworked that tile.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as I know, the chance of disease striking is on each floodplain square which's being worked.

It means, if you found the city on the flood plains, this square will also be worked, and then you will have a chance to lose this citizen for disease.
