I know this is old, but I couldn't find a thread and this is surely the most hilarious sex scandal ever.

Allen was arrested on the afternoon of July 11, 2007 at Veterans Memorial Park in Titusville, Florida for solicitation of prostitution from an undercover, male police officer. The official stated that fear of an African-American male caused him to make the offer. He was released from the county jail after posting a $500 bond. Allen was convicted on November 9, 2007. After being sentenced on November 15, 2007 to six months of probation, a $250 fine, court costs and $245 restitution to Titusville Police Department, Allen also was ordered to undergo testing for HIV and other STDs, complete a class in HIV awareness and to stay away from the park where he was arrested. He resigned from the Florida House of Representatives on 2007-11-16.
Allen was co-chair of Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign in Florida, but resigned following his conviction.

Why had I never heard of this?

Let's be straight. The gay sex we can believe and his bogus lies we don't have to, but I don't see why we should bring this into the conversation. Being afraid of a African-American for whatever reason doesn't make someone afraid of all black people necessarily, seriously.

Anyway, this Allen guy is either a rash idiot or a creative liar.

No no you got it wrong he offered twenty dollars to give the male black undercover policemen a blow job !!!

This is what Allen actually said, which you can hear straight from the horses mouth in the link I provided in the OP:

Bob Allen (R) said:
This (undercover officer) is a pretty stocky black guy, and there's other black guys around in the park that - you know.... I am about to be a statistic here

Given the reference to multiple scary black guys I think I was justified in using the plural in my title. I don't know if he's similarly inclined to drop to his knees at the sight of any and all African-Americans. In fact, I have a sneeking suspicion that this is not the real reason he paid $20 to perform oral sex in a public toilet.

I think a lot conservatives are closet freaks on the inside.

This story kind of reminds me of Ted Haggard, who was exposed of smoking meth and soliciting gay prostitutes. He claimed he bought meth and knew they gay prostitute, but he did not smoke it or have sex with the guy.

Emperor Giulio,

I think buying meth and associating with gay prostitutes with no intention to smoke the meth or employ the gay prostitute is "freakier" than the ordinary uses. ;)

Agreed,

Ted Haggard is also the leader of the church George W. Bush follows.

Ted Haggard isnt a leader of any church and most certanly not the church George W. Bush attends.

Fail.

He had to undergo testing for HIV and other STDs because he was near a black person, presumably. hah.

Also those cops are stupid, no one would take meth and a blow job from a gay guy at the same time. The meth would have you so messed up you wouldn't know what was happening. This sting would've been better if they were selling E and gay sex or viagra and gay sex.

Speaking from experience?
