Please don't stop! We need great artists like you!
This give anyone else the same idea it gives me?
Melcher Kurzer (Great Artist) has been born in Berlin!
I know you said you were stopping the creation of historical leaderheads, but I was wondering whether or not you would be willing to fulfill a request for me.
Isn't it obvious?
Your latest work is perfect. I don't know how possible to do something better. But I hope you will try later.
P.S. I'm having problems with Zenobia. It didn't work until I added <NoShaderNIF>Art/LeaderHeads/zenobia/zenobia.nif</NoShaderNIF> tag. So it should be?
And you are totally right with Zenobia, that tag is indeed needed. Forgot it in the description and will fix it.
And here Of course it is not so flawless like new, but I hope you going to keep old version too.
yeah its needed for civ4 but not colonization
Oh, I see. I only have BTS. Claims to the description of the old Isabella removed)
2 minor questions about the new Isabella:
Why did you choose to light only the right candles? Shadows look better this way?
Why did you add a second, nonshader nif file in the download? If I got it right, it's totally the same as the original nif, so I don't see any real use for it
Also, IIRC you usually don't tend to add a second nif for most of your LHs. So why bother for this LH?
Candles were a pretty expensive thingy back these days, i think.
Spain couldn't effort to use all of them at once just because some random Leader is visiting.
But serious and to be honest, it's pure laziness by my side.
Not totally sure, but i think i added the second nif for people who use here in the custom assets folder. Don't know if needed but the xml refers to that file, so at least it dosen't harm.
It's not a big deal at all, I just barely noticed myself
Just thought I would point it out
Oh, okay. Makes sense for those who only want to replace the original Izzy without doing any XML modifications
Was playing around with an idea i had a long time ago. Some kind of an easier and alternative way to make leaders. Basic idea is to make units to leaders instead of the usual heads. It works nicely and is as easy as making stupid things while drunken.
You basically can turn every unit ever created into an leader in about 15 minutes.
Sure they won't look as good, but keep in mind you can improve them drastically, shader them etc.
And you lose animations (depends) and face expressions. Personally, i don't mind at all as you gain some pretty cool unit animations.
I like it a lot, but pretty useless for most people i quess. Still, while being mostly a gimmick, there is some potential.
Since it's almost useless, i need a good example to show you why i like it.
What about an example screenshot ?
This was just for testing. Great spy, nothing changed. Ignore the background.
I guess it's possible to connect the units default animations somehow with the possible moods of the leaders, right?
The idea is very simple. All nif and kfm files are the same, except the information they hold. This is pretty obvious. You just need to adjust them for the specific use.
I experimented with that more then once. The background of my Mary Leaderhead actually is a complete 3D model, not just a single picture.
Anyways, i will make an example leader and if people are intrested, i could give you a short tutorial how to do it.
That's actually really cool. I want to try something like that!
I will give you a short introduction. But i will need some time to write it down.
Currently i'm checking what possibilities this technique allows. It should be possible to build some nice sceneries.
