L'Etat, c'est moi
I have an interesting problem...
I originally had a bunch of files on a windows 98 system (fat32). I connected the 98 machine to a XP machine w/ a crossover cable, and moved said files onto the XP machine (ntfs). The files didn't work (they have to directly access memory addresses -- prohibited in xp), so I installed 98 on the XP machine, and made it dual boot (the 98 partition, obviously, is fat32). Now I'm having problems reestablishing the two computer network with the original 98 machine (for the purpose of retransferring the original files). Would it be possible to log on to XP on the dual boot machine, and just drop the already transferred files in the FAT32 partition? i.e., would the computer automatically reconvert how the files are saved?
Note, for obvious reasons, the ntfs partition is hidden from the fat32 partition, but NOT vice versa.
