I just got a new stick of RAM for christmas, it's PC2700 DDR333(well actually it says KVR333 but I doubt theres a difference), my current memory chip is DDR533 PC2700. Is the new one going to work on my computer?

Speaking of memory, which one would be better for the value and performance:

Corsair VS512MB400 512MB DDR400 PC3200 CAS2.5 Value Select Memory Retail
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80098-6
$73.50 US

or

SAMSUNG 512MB PC3200 DDR400 184PIN OEM
http://www4.ncix.com/products/index...UNG3200-512M&manufacture=Samsung&promoid=1022
$77.99.

Mind you, I am going to get most my computer from ncix, so shipping from the 2 different sites may be costly....
I will also be purchasing 2 of whatever 512 I buy.

Well, I was going to buy 2x 512MB of Corsair for around $170 Canadian, but noticed the shipping itself is $60 USD! The shipping of this to other places in the US is around $5. I am getting a mobo, processor, hard drive, etc at NCIX, so I guess I am getting a gig there.

Samsung RAM is good, too. I would choose Corsair, but either way you're getting good quality stuff. :goodjob:

So just whichever is easier really...

DDR333 is DDR 333MHz - it is same as PC2700 ( 2700MB/s bandwidth) in other words, both of stick should be DDR333.

Good. SO I didn't waste time on returning that chip
