Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas as of 1 hour ago. ;)

Like the soldiers that fought 98 years ago on the trenches of WW1, let liberal and conservative put aside their differences and come together on the battlefield of opinion and celebrate brotherhood!

It shall be a Merry Christmas! I'll get some more coal for the fire!

Danish Xmas sounds pretty much what we have here and live candles on a xmas tree - one of the easiest ways to burn the house down, pretty & hazardous so a rarity these days.

Hyvää Joulua.

Why didn't anybody wished me happy Saturnalia? Some of us aren't Christian.

Saturnalia? I am disappoint. Long live the Christmas Log!!!

Merry Christmas to all the forum's Christians from your friendly neighborhood Jew! :santa2:

I'm one quarter Jew and spent x-mas day with the Jewish side of the family who I literally never see (basically, everyone but a few stragglers are dead from the other three quarters). I never realised, it's another world altogether! I couldn't believe how maybe 7 or 8 people in their 80's who I don't ever recall meeting knew so much about me, right up to recent history. Is there some book or something where it's all recorded? I also observed that the women seemed to rule the roost and there were a lot of quite brow beaten men wandering around. Is this normal?

I'm not sure if its unique to Jewish families, but word spreads around fast in mine as well. I'll see family I haven't seen in ages and they know everything about me. It takes some getting used to.

And the women thing is so true as well. We all know they're cooking the delicious dinner, so we do as they say in order to get some.
