Ok, first of all, this would be my first succeson game, so it's up to you out there, to (help me) decide(ing) what civ, difficulty, landmasses, clima, etc... It is in C3C!
But I have a idea that I want to play. You may know the 'crazy celts succesion game', it's somewhere in this forum. My idea is similar, but I want to make it more roughly.
The one that plays has to follow some sort of motto. Before he starts to play he has to throw cubes to look what way he has to play. ( I hope you understand.... )
Example: Player x gets to play. He throws a cube and gets the number 1, then a 5, followed by a 3 and a 5. This means he has to play (look chart)!
1: expansionistic (militaristic) (expand by all means!)
2: seafaring (expansionistic) (discover the world)
3: commercial (money, money, money)
4: industrial (build the infrastructure!)
5: agricultural (Our civ has to grow, grow, grow)
6: scientific (knowledge is our treasure)
after this, he has to throw again some other cubes:
I.
1,3,5: religious (get to spread our religion, no foreign citizens in our cities; nothin better comoes to my mind)
2,4,6: atheistic
II.
1,3,5: isolationistic (in diplomacy, we give nothing to other civs, every enemy unit in our borders has to get thrown out, or if he/she doesn't want attacked)
2,4,6: world citizen (open to all sorts of contracts, etc)
III.
1: monarchy
2: feudalism
3: republic
4: communism
5: democracy
6: fascism
Note: If a government isn't reasearched, take the next related in this order. (group one: fascism, monarchy, feudalism, despotism; group 2: democracy, republic, feudalism, despotism; group 3: communism, feudalism, despotism). It has to be revolted even when we have the sam governemt already. The revolt shows that a new governor hat the power.
I'm not sure about the last one?
--> Our player would now have to play expansionistic, religious, isolationistic and with a republic. Seems funny, not? and maybe a bit utopical, but that's what it makes so interesting!
As civilization I would recommend something religious (because we have to revolt all the time). Agricultural would perhaps be good, (if we have to revolt to fascism all the time).
personally I would like to play with Austria (not possible because not religious) or Switzerland (not possible, because not in the game). So I list here the possible civs (with religious):
Spain --> Seafaring (depends on map, it will be with lot of water, so good, but like militaristic, these would be a favour too good for militarists, assuming we play on archipelago)
Babylon --> Scientific (why not? we might get a bit behind by revolting all the time and these frequent changing of the way we play...)
Celts --> Agricultural (If we get fascism quite a lot, this would help)
Egypt --> Industrial (why not? It helps all the time and is not 'bad' for us in this situation)
Arabs --> Expansionistic (depends on map size, landmasses, because the last one will be continents or archipelago (i want archi) I would say better not)
India --> commercial (helps out (a bit) with science and it's good for the corruption issue (since it's not fixed)
Japan --> militaristic (hmm, the militaristics will have it enough easy (comment of hooray, so no)
---> I would propose Babylon, Celts or India. For a good timed golden age, India (latest uu) might be best? What are your thoughts?
I would also like to have a historical chronic of what you do (instead of memphis war, starts gran ...) Like the crazy celts
We could use the 6 aristocracial families (the first 6 traits) to tell the story of the land with the 6 enemy families which fight a bloody war through the centuries.
I hope some will want to join. I'm open for suggests.
EDIT: Perhaps we could play with that roaster in one of the conquests? (midle age, sengoku, the two meso's).
