Mic4 - AWM was a great AW game, at least for the first try. Now time for another AW game. :)

My plan is to have another 2 or 3 AWM games before I go for AWE.

Map is standard pangea. CIV is up to debate. Is Iroquois OK? Surprisingly I've never played it.

    Roster (full):
    microbe
    damanakho
    6thGenTexan
    el_filet
    grs

I'll give priority to players who joined Mic4.

    I'd like to join,
Not much of AW experience other than SGOTM3 played for team Smackster and we did well.

Count me in for round 2. How about japan as a civ? Militaristic is a definite bonus, and i've always wanted to try out samauri on a massive scale.

    Here I am :)

Edit: Iroquois and Japan both sound fine to me. I would prefer Japan, just because I haven't played them for a long time.

OK we are full. I'll reserve the sixth slot for gozpel. I'll start it today or tomorrow.

CIV: please state your preference. Currently:
    Iroquois (microbe)
    Japan (Nick014, grs, dmanakho)

Id like to overcome the early GA and the weaker traits with the Iroquois.

Attention all. Due to some rather pressing circumstances, I am going to be forced to drop all my civ games until further notice. It will most likely be a month or 2 until I am able to play again. I don't feel like discussing it here, but if you really want to know, send me an email and I'll explain them. To all my teamates: sorry for dropping so suddenly, I'll try to be back as soon as I can if any of the games are still running, but you're better off finding a replacement. :(

2800BC: We spot a brown border and warrior returns home.

IBT but Carthage meets us and we get Bronze Working + 15g by Wheel and declare war. Carthage has Masonry, Alphabet and Pottery.

2670BC: our vet warrior 3/3 kills warrior and we raze Utica.

    2430BC: we kill a warrior.

    IBT the warrior is killed.

2390BC: we kill another warrior. warrior pillages around Carthage.

The start was a bit interesting. We met someone early and was able to raze a town, which has horses and two cattle, and started pillaging AI capital with a warrior!

We aren't going to take Carthage by warriors as NM is defense 3, but some pillaging wouldn't hurt. And we need to get horses connected asap.

Do not explore more. We have a lot of land to settle now. It would be really bad if we had to fight two AIs this early.

Expand toward the horse. Space 3 of course. After the current build Kyoto to settler, and Osaka to worker?

Tech wise, after HBR let's go ironworking?

Sorry to hear this. I hope you can at least come back for next AW game.

I PM'ed gozpel to confirm his interest. If he doesn't have time or interest for this one, we'll need another player.

el_filet, do you have any AW experience? I am fine with taking a newbie, but please read Mic4 and some other AW games to give yourself a feel of the general strategy. AW is a very different game.

Good start. Iron working is the obvious, if we want swords soon. Depending on which techs we can trade for, we could go towards Monarchy asap. It seems at least worth considering, with the techs we already have.

I started an AW in Emperor for RB. That was too hard, but Monarch should be fine. I just need to stick to the AW rules, like building cities 3 tiles apart, wich I didn't do in that game. I think I already played one in Monarch, i'll check tonight. For the reading, I already read the reports of over half a dozen AW-Games, including Mic4.
