A big difference between american and european (or at least dutch) freedom! His TV show would be against our laws. Freedom of speech / expressing your views is limited here by the same freedom. Most people here believe that freedom cannot exist with discrimination I agree with that btw). So it is simply forbidden to express an opinion that is discriminating (with this I have my doubts).

I don't know if he is a racist and homophobe, but he certainly sounds like one. His comments are trash (actually they're much more than that, but forum rules prohibit the stronger words I would use) but just as I am allowed to post this against him, he (unfortunately) has every right to say what he believes.

...Of course, it sounds like he found out MSNBC has every right to fire him if they and their viewers don't like what he says

I find it funny that on his homepage that he says he was set up, that the crank caller meant to throw him off the air. I think that even if that was so, he shouldn't have gone berserk with that "I hope you get AIDS and die, you pig". On the site it goes on to say that he thought it was off-the-air and didn't know that it was being broacast. If he would say that to anybody off-the-air...wow.
