Well, me and PCHighway came up with a few techs before he went to Kansas (searching for a yellow sick toad, or something), but I'll keep them secret a while yet.

We'll continue when he's not in Kansas anymore.

Pippin, welcome!

If you could give us a preview of a hobbit unit I'd be very happy. A Hobbit Archer would be super.

The map is not that big a problem, I think most of us could do that. I don't think buildings graphics will be a big problem either, though a few wondersplashes would be nice.
Some things will change with C3C, but not graphics-wise, just in how the game functions (I think I'm right here, and I'm a beta tester after all

).

Having lots of techs to start with is a very good idea, in my opinion. If we have too many, it's much easier to combine certain tech abilities into one tech (Literacy and Mathom-Gathering combine into one giving both libraries and Mathom House, for one bad example) than it is to split them.
Just my thought, Arathorn. We gotta start in one corner of the puzzle, that's all.

About civ specific techs I think you might be right, but I think we should use techs "not required for era advancement" as much as we can (not all the time, but...). We know how that functions, after all. And if a tech just gives "3rd orc archer" the other civs wont study that, and wont pay for it either (just think about how popular Free Artistry use to be,
after Shakespeare's Theatre has been built).
I'm posting a slightly updated Unit Lines document here, which has been made while me and PCH made unit techs. Alterations are marked with yellow. It's just some new unit names, basically.

(Pippin, please check this if you haven't seen it before, especially for unit graphics you might make a better version for. Just ask for specifics. )
Nice to see Arathorn and Noldodan back, now I'll know who I'm arguing with again.
