I'm afraid I do.
I'm starting to get that idea ;). Since no one has a strong opinion to the contraire lets change it to March-warden. If anyone thinks of something better down the line we can change it again.

I'm going to post the last thread today, if someone has anything that can't wait till the next thread, speaketh now.

Good.

I guess the Gondolindren Foot Knight remains for the time being?

I'll try to read some Silmarillion this week to find a replacement for the Gondolin Guy.

BTW you haven't been as creative this week. :nono: But now the Task Master is back, with his cat o' nine tails. ;)

New thread is posted.

TLC we will be hard pressed to find passable Elven styled graphics carrying axes. I think we should stick to the last agreement and simply use the infantry described in the battle of unnumbered tears. I'd rather just go with YP's "Gondolin Infantry" idea.

This coming from the guy who went on vacation for a week! :) I am constantly bemused about how people think if they go away for a week great production will happen ;).

Check out the new thread, stop discussion here, and try and stick to the important issues here. This next thread is all about coming up with ideas now that the main discussion is over with. There is not much reason for me to post in the thread unless I run into trouble with the .biq. So it will be up to you guys to make sure the thread stays alive.

Wow i've been away from civ 4 a while and only recently returned to it and saw these threads its about time some1 did a decent tolkein mod, so i just thought i'd throw in my 10-cents worth, if these points have been covered in earlier threads just ignore them (i'm used to it) the biggest problem i can c with setting it over 4 ages is that unlike human development on earth most of the races on middle earth have been in decline since the 1st age. (many of the planned civs, hobbits, Isengard, Rohan etc didn't exist until much later) For example during the wars 4 the silmarils Morgoroth's hosts contained many powerful creatures Dragons, Balrogs, werewolves etc that were not available to Sauron (who was after all just a lieuitenant) Similarly the Noldor had been dwindling to the extent that during the 3rd age they where a shadow of their former glory. It would seem to me therefore that the standard chronology of a civ game (units get better the longer the game goes on) just would not fit. Please do not take this as criticism of ur efforts (i am greatly looking forward to playing the results) its just i fail to c how any1 could make a single mod encompassing the full history of middle earth and wonder if perhaps it would b better to split up the ages into separate mods eg 1 4 the war against morgoroth and another 4 the wars against sauron. Whatever happens though i will definately dl it :D
