Map doesn't matter too much for me, although with AA UU an archi would be awfully in favor of the byz, so I'd rule archi out. Rest is cool with me at random or if anyone has preferences, and I vote for barbs being in (raging ) - some at least.

I'd like no AI, and will go for a civ once we're settled on a map type.

Alright, I'd like to play Mayas, Iroquois, Egypt and France - in that order but really pretty much equally - so if you guys want to pick them too it's perfectly fine, I'll take whichever is left. France has a MA UU so it's cool if you'd rule it out, too.

Good thinking on the common email, that should make things go around easier.

I think for the sake of fairness that we should have someone tweak the starting spots to common grounds; a plain without river start would be awful for anyone. Does anyone know any willing mapmaker for the minimal job? I'd do it myself but this wouldn't be proper since I'll be playing the darn thing.

I'll ask around at CDZ.

Edit: Soul, it would be awfully nice if the language setting on the gmail was in latin alphabet or something unless you 3 are from arabic countries, which I'd understand ... though I wouldn't understand the writings still.

Nope but you will need to change the CD to play either of them.

I play PBEMs in both games with no problem whatsoever.
