In case you haven't heard, the vote for Minnesota's second Senate seat has been caught in a long recount.
Well, electee's are to be sworn in on Tuesday, and there's still no winner at hand. Coleman (R) is the incumbent, while Franken (D) is the current leader (by literally only 50 votes).
My question to you is this:
Considering that the winner won't be declared legally until long after tuesday's swearing in, and that this empty seat will effect the national scene --- what should be done to solve this today and in the future?
I'm thinking the president should appoint the winner, TBH. It's close enough to be a draw, let the nation's #1 be the tie breaker.
