Missing Oil graphic on Ocean tiles

I've experienced this, too.

In my case, when playing the game on DirectX9 the oil in the water was visible. When playing the same game on DirectX11, the oil was not visible.

In this screenshot I've put a red circle around the area where the missing oil is:
Spoiler :

And the save file for the game is here.

And no comments about my ruling abilities. This is only my second game. :mischief:

[EDIT]
Here's my specs:
Intel Core Duo P8600
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 w/1GB RAM

From what I understand,
... DX9 and DX11 savedgames are incompatible.

[edit]
Given Ainwood's reply below
... I am apparently having other issues between DX9 and DX11.
... I've crashed after loading another players savedgame files.
... (this seemed to be linked to DX9/DX11, as others noted similar problem)

I used the Steam cloud to play the same game on two different systems.

System 1 Specs -- where I used DirectX 9 and could see the oil resources in water:

Spoiler :
Windows 7 Enterprise (32-bit)
Core 2 Quad Q8400 at 2.66GHz
4GB RAM (~3.21GB usable)
Graphics: Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset, ~1GB shared graphics memory (note: not a standalone graphics card)
1280x1024 native resolution
DirectX 10 is supported on this system, but I didn't know that at first, so I ran the game in DirectX 9, then later in DirectX10/11. With this system, waterborne oil was visible on Dx9, not visible on Dx10/11.

System 2 Specs -- where I've only used DirectX 11 and I've never been able to see waterborne oil resources represented in the world map graphics, but the resource icon and offshore platforms confirm that they are indeed there:

Spoiler :
Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 (DirectX 11 supported)
1400x900 native reslution

Interesting! So a DX11 card and the DX11 version, and you can't see any water resources?

To be clear, I can see most water resources, just not waterborne oil resources.

Can you post a screenshot, please, along with a DXDiag log?

Sure thing.

Screenshot 0001 shows an offshore platform on an invisible oil resource.

Screenshot 0002 and 0003 are of the same spot on the map. 0002 is in world map view and 0003 is in strategic view. The oil is there according to strategic view, but not visibile in the world map view.

I had no idea Oil resources could be on ocean tiles until I play a MP game, and they were telling me I had oil right next to my coastal cities.

I checked in the Strategic View, and sure enough, I had oil there.

Any one else got this issue?

Yes, it's a known bug with DX11-Civ.
