I have noticed, when opening existing units in this program, that not all of the pieces of the unit are touching when viewed. For example, the Marine and Navy SEAL models have their guns floating off to the side of the soldier. So my question is, if I want to make a unit based on these models, but with a different gun, do I need to move the gun anywhere else in the scene once I've copied and pasted it, or will the unit appear correctly in the game even in in Nifskope, the gun is far away, even when attached to the existing gun's branch?

The animation files are what controls how the numerous elements of the nif relate. So assuming you use the same animation file you should just need to replace the gun where it is.

A'right, thanks. I'll try it out as soon as I can, and tell you if I was successful.
