Hi all, I had this idea about Barbarian xp that instead of it capped at 45xp (for standard), would there be a way (an easy way?!) to make a mod that granted less xp for barb conflict? Something like 2 points for melee units and 1 point for ranged.
I normally play all VP releases with the code altered to -1 to allow unlimited xp from barb conflicts and it actually doesn't make that big a difference, unless one was to wilfully exploit it, but even then it's not really worth it considering how often barbs spawn these days. Another thing to note about unlimited barb xp is that I never have more than two super soldiers from it on average so it's not like it makes a massive difference late on in the game.
It just sort of bugs me that there is a cap when in reality any combat should garner at least some xp and I think half or less than for barb conflict would actually balance about the same. Even just aesthetically, it's quite pleasing to see that small xp pop up after combat and without it, it feels as if I'm not achieving anything, if that makes sense.
I'd love to make my own mod for this, so it would be nice to know if it were possible or how hard it would be?
