Not sure where to put this but I was thinking of making a thread where we mention ideas for mods we want to see when the Workshop comes out

I was imaging learning to mod and making one that adds more unique dialogue (unvoiced of course) for the leaders

Subtle Mines

Reduces the overall height of the mine rocks & buildings so that they don’t look like inland cliffs when placed next to inland cliffs.

1. New resource icons
2. New unit icons
3. New building icons
4. Random historical/plausible start button (leaders and civs with affinities only)

  • Mute/ignore "town can be specialized" notifications. I honestly don't care.
  • Mute/ignore disasters outside of my lands.
  • Key-bind or always present button to toggle auto-end turn, so that I don't have to open the menu to turn it off when I need to quickly disable it.
    • Certain warnings should automatically turn off AET:
      • settlement is under threat
      • unit is under threat
      • war declaration
  • Fix wake unit
    • Currently, it appears that the unit isn't awakened until they're attacked?
  • Key-bind to switch between units that have available action points (and aren't resting/fortifying/whatever). I'm thinking pressing [tab] will do.
  • Show military strength of each civ in the data at the top right. (InfoAddict would be nice)
  • when being asked to join an alliance LET ME KNOW IF THEY ARE AT WAR BEFORE I ACCEPT.
  • Advanced game configs
  • Retain more stuff between ages. I hate losing all of my merchants and downgrading all of my cities each time a new age starts. Also, i just lost 2/3 of my gold when switching ages!
  • Make [esc] close more dialogs. There are some dialogs that hitting [esc] doesn't close, so instead it opens the game menu, then you have to close TWO things.
  • Automated exploration (for the love of all that is holy)
  • Show what was recently finished being produced in a city
    • Previous civ games had this, where it will show "just completed: some building"

An option to force everyone to start the game at war with each other. Additionally an option to remove the ability to make peace once a war starts.
